Implementation of Best Practices in a Local Setting – Think about:
- What are the biggest diversity issues you face? Any of socioeconomic, gender, ethnicity, language, cultural, post-secondary plans or something else?
- What are the biggest challenges to diversity in your school or classroom?
- Are there some effective practices used in your school or your classroom to address these issues?
- Are there key components we are seeing repeatedly?
- Which of the Best Practices we've seen so far do you think would work for you?
- Who or what, other than large amounts of money and FTE, would assist you in establishing these best practices in your classroom or school?
- How would you secure that assistance?

Minigrant Applications are due Monday, September 22, 2008 to Jo Oshiro via email; signature page may be faxed if you are unable to scan and send. Award notification is in early October. Techstart, not OUS, will administer the grants.
As of September 12, 2008 there is an ongoing conversation on obtaining a large donation suitable for door prizes. Jo will keep you informed and hopes to have good news come October.
